Sun and Fun! June 2016 Hip Kit Club

My first layout using the June 2016 Hip Kits and can I just say how fast summer is flying buy?? I can’t believe June is almost over and here comes July! It has been super hot here and we are getting plenty of outside time in the water. Nothing like a hot summer day with some nice cool water to chill out in.

This photo is of my daughter having a blast in the sprinkler and man does this bring back memories of my childhood. Trying to get drinks of water from the sprinkler and cooling your booty off in the cold water. I used three photos in this layout becuase I wanted to capture the transitions of her playing. I feel like you can really understand the fun she is having buy looking at these photos. I also used the free cut files from the Hip Kit from Ashley Horton and back it with that beautiful simple stories pattern paper!

I used the ephemera pack and some of those simple stories buttons. I also made some of my own clouds out of the extra paper I had. 0952d20d-7ace-4d9a-99b7-343ba60b6bfd

I really liked how this layout turned out and I love all the bright colors. I have a process video linked below! Enjoy!

Happy Friday!! I am back with another layout. I am still working with Illustrated Faith products and I am just loving all the bright colors they bring to my summer layouts. So here is my latest creation.

I used the Illustrated Faith Friendship Paper Pieces to bring in some floral and I used the My Minds Eye Jubilee Story Journal Cards they came with these cute cut outs of the hello and the bird. I back those cut outs with the Avery Elle 6×6 Paper Pad in Everyday Collection
I love using cut files. I went on Pinterest and found a circle cut file and just used scrap paper that I had in my stash to create the background. Its considered a doily background. So I put it in my Silhouette Studio and enlarged the image.
This photo of my sweet girl bring me her favorite snack and me my favorite drink (Tea) she did this all by herself and I was so impressed. I mean she even knew to use hot water for the tea and not cold. We sat down and enjoyed that moment together and it was the best!
I hope you all enjoy your weekend and be looking out for a process video on this layout over on my YouTube Channel PokeFreckleDot

Homegrown! Project Life!

It’s been awhile my friends but I am so glad to be back in the saddle of Project Life! I forgot how quick and easy things come together when it comes to documenting project life style. I really didn’t get much pictures of my PL layout but I do have a process video for you!! oh yeah!! Hope you all enjoy and see you soon!

I Love You Right Now!

Happy Friday to you!! I am back with another layout using more of the same goodies. Illustrated Faith, Avery Elle, and Amy Tangerine! This time I had this idea to use a banner in this layout, it’s just a good way to use up paper and bring in colors and patters. I also want to mention the title. I am sure you all have kids and understand the ups and downs of sibling love..Right? Well we were on a road trip and they were getting along so well and then about two hours into the trip, the arguing started. lol! so I felt like this title was fitting. So here is what I came up with!

I love the pop of colors that this paper from Avery Elle brings to the layout. I also incorporated some black and white pattern paper from my scraps.

Something else that makes this paper pop is this bold title from Amy Tangerine These foam word sayings are the best when it comes to titles. I have a hard time coming up with titles, so this is the perfect solution!
Ok last thing I want to mention are these awesome paper pieces and Sticker Sheets These are just the perfect touch to any layout, planner, project life, card or whatever else your heart desires! They are just to cute and colorful to pass up. I hope you all enjoy and be looking out for a process video over on my YouTube channel!!

May 2016 Hip Kit Club Layout

Hey yall! I am back with another layout for the May 2016 Hip Kits! This layout was a challenge over on the Hip Kit Club Facebook Forum and This one was really eye catching for me and I really couldn’t wait to get started. 7eb438b5-a0ac-4748-b3d6-76fb7aa1bb80

So the layout was focused around circles but you could really use any shape. So I have a lot of summer photos from last year that I wanted to document and I also had the collection from pebbles FUN in the SUN. So I was so excited that I had A : a collection that was summery and B: a design layout that I really liked and C: summer photos to document!

So this layout came together super quick and I feel like it’s a pretty eye catching piece. So I encourgae you to head over to the Hip Kit Facebook Forum and check out their challenges and you could win a $10 gift card to the Hip Kit Online Store. As always there is a process video below!

Butterfly Reflections Design Team-His Love

Using more of the Illustrated Faith products in this layout. I can’t get enough of these products. When you set bright colors and different patterns in front of me, the possibilities are endless! So here is another layout I came up with. 67c02c43-0ef2-4449-a0fd-f790cb038ae9

I love how simple it is but eye catching. I like how I only used one sticker sheet and some mixed media. There is no pattern paper in this layout. I have been wanting to use more mixed media in my backgrounds lately, just to practice and I feel like I am getting the hang of it!

My title is Love but the sticker sheet I used was named His Love. So I thought about just surrounding this picture with hearts. It reminded me of his love surrounding our children. I went ahead and drew some hearts with a black marker, just so it would match the title LOVE. Hope you all love it as much as I do. Process Video is linked below!

Love Life-May 2016 Hip Kits

Hi yall I’m back with another layout from my May 2016 Hip Kits! I wanted to used up some of my scraps, so I literally used every piece left of that Illustrated Faith She Blooms 12×12 floral/polka dot paper. I LOVE the paper so much. So here is what I came up with..

There was also a challenge going on at the same time over on the Facebook Hip Kit Forum and it just so happens, I was using the items listed in the challenge. WINNING! ha!

I also used up all of my Illustrated Faith Chip Board Pieces. So to bring in more floral, I used Ashley Horton free cut file. I love cut files, I feel like they bring your layout to another level. So thank goodness for those free ones! Well I hope you all enjoy and here is a process video to go with it!

Good Morning and Happy Friday to you all! I can’t begin to tell you how much I am loving my products I am working with this month! They scream SUMMER! not only that they have such great purpose behind them, more of that later in the post. Let’s have a look at what I have been up to.

Insert happy face here! I just love bright bold colors. I wanted to do a little watercoloring for a mixed media look. I just used the old packaging technique and some watercolor to achieve this background

I love this picture of my children having a blast. So lets talk about the products I mentioned earlier. I am using the Illustrated Faith Go Paper Pieces on each little piece of ephemera is a bible verse. So not only are these products eye catching but they have purpose behind them and that’s what memory keeping is really about is purpose.

I am also using the Everyday Collection by Avery Elle which is a 6×6 paper pad. I felt like the colors and patterns went well with the other products I have. Also who doesn’t love a big bold title? Well these Amy Tangerine Rise and Shine Foam Stickers are great for titles. One last item I used on this layout is the GoodDay Snap Cuts from Simple Stories these are perfect for someone who doesn’t own a die cutting machine or a cut file machine such as a silhouette. These are already cut for you and you don’t have to use them just for project life.
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend. See you all next time!
