Hello Hello Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday. I am back with another sketch challenge for the Hip Kit Club Design Team. Here is the Sketch.

I fussy cut out this exclusive paper from Kim Watson. Those black and white flowers just sang to my heart!! I mean look how they just pop off the page!! I also used one photo instead of three small photos but still kept the overall design going.

I was really happy to be able to finally use those fun chipboard letters from Pink Paislee Paige Evans line TAKE ME AWAY Collection. I couldn’t wait to get those down on a layout. For my layering behind my photo, I used that beautiful pink couch from the Take Me Away Ephemera pack. I know what your thinking!! WHAT!! but I did.

I hope you all enjoyed this layout! as always there is a process video posted below!!

Dec 2016- Hip Kit Club Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday Funday everyone!! I am a little behind on my blog post but I am going to get caught up today. We are having an ice storm as I speak, so my family and I will be inside all day. So let’s take a look at this sketch challenge I have done. Who doesn’t love fringe?? Well I went a little fringe crazy and I loved how it turned out.

I wanted to bring in some mixed media, so I used the Heidi Swapp Color Shine in sweet mint. I just sprayed it right on to the paper and it gave this shiny, messy look. I also wanted to use some sequence to bring in some of that shine! I brought in some of the gold Ephemera pieces from the Paige Evans Take Me Away Collection.

I really had a lot of fun creating this layout for the Hip Kit Club Sketch Challenge. I encourage you to try out these sketch challenges and post your projects over on our facebook forum. As always I have a process video posted at the end of this post.

So looking at the mood board this month, Banners kept coming to mind. So I thought I would start there. I love that I stuck with this idea, I just love how this turned out. For the title, I used the American Craft Thickers from the Paige Evans Take Me Away Collection. I decided to keep the title simple, since I had so much going on in the background.

unnamed-21

I did a little mixed media. I used my watercolors and some Hedie Swapp Color Shine for the splatter look. I also used an exclusive cut file from the Hip Kit Club and altered it to fit my layout. I also love those gold hearts from My Minds Eye, they are the perfect gold color.

I hope you all loved this layout as much as I do! I hope you reflect on 2016 and strive for better in 2017.

Layout Using My October 2016 Hip Kits.

Happy Tuesday sweet friends! I am back with a layout using my October 2016 Hip Kits for the first time! This month’s kit really inspired me. Not only is fall my favorite season but the month of October is right up there with Christmas for me. Going into this layout I used the Embellishment Add On Kit, Main Kit, and Cut Files.

unnamed-10

So let’s talk a little about this layout. I couldn’t contain myself! I used about everything on this layout. I started with this wood paper from Maggie Holmes #gather #collection , then worked with those exclusive cut files from Kim Watson aren’t they beautiful! I used the Maggie Holmes 12×12 details pattern paper for my leaves. Since the paper was double sided, I got more out of the paper! So I flipped some of the leaves over on the pink side.

I knew I wanted to focus on two clusters and go crazy with the embellishments and that I did!! don’t judge me! ha ha! So i brought in some of the Simple Stories chipboard pieces from the #posh Collection. So now for the title. I couldn’t resist those beautiful #thickers from the #takemeaway collection from Paige Taylor Evans They were just screaming “use me on your layout” and I was like “how could I not!” lol!

I hope you all love this layout as much as I do! Be looking for the process video!!! #hipkitclub #hipkits#scrapbooking #memorykeeping #kits#americancrafts #maggieholmes #paigeevans#simplestories #wildheart
