Dec 2016- Hip Kit Club Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday Funday everyone!! I am a little behind on my blog post but I am going to get caught up today. We are having an ice storm as I speak, so my family and I will be inside all day. So let’s take a look at this sketch challenge I have done. Who doesn’t love fringe?? Well I went a little fringe crazy and I loved how it turned out.

I wanted to bring in some mixed media, so I used the Heidi Swapp Color Shine in sweet mint. I just sprayed it right on to the paper and it gave this shiny, messy look. I also wanted to use some sequence to bring in some of that shine! I brought in some of the gold Ephemera pieces from the Paige Evans Take Me Away Collection.

Too Cute To Scare!!! October 2016 Hip Kits!

Here is my last layout using my #october2016 Hip Kit Club I decided to use the same photo I used in my last #halloween layout. So let’s take a look at what I used in this layout. I used the fun #cutfile from Zinia I used American Crafts Mediterranean Cardstock. The cut file really inspired this layout for me. I just visioned the cut file being streets (like a map) So that’s what led me to fussy cut out the houses from @dearlizzy #dearlizzy #saturday 12×12 paper. Trick or Treat!

To give some color on the white background I went in with my watercolors and added some pink. For my title I used the Simple Stories sticker sheet and the Hip Kit Club exclusive alpha’s.

For the last added touch for this layout, I used We R Memory Keeperssticker sheet. These round stickers were just the perfect pop of interest for my layout. Happy Halloween Using October 2016 Hip Kits!

Happy Halloween Sweet Friends! It’s Megan and I am back with another layout using our #october2016 Hip Kit Club but this time I am focusing on Halloween!! Boo!! Jumping into this layout, I knew I wanted to incorporate the original Halloween colors. So I looked at all my papers and decided to use #dearlizzy #saturday Bagel’s paper, American Crafts bubbles card stock, and Maggie Holmes pure joy paper.

I really wanted to bust into my #colorkits and use that awesome #stencil from Echo Park Paper So I used some black acrylic paint and sponged it on the stencil to give me that wicked background! I also gave it some black splatters.

I started thinking about my title…. I remembered those beautiful Pink PaisleePaige Taylor Evans #takemeaway white Thickers. So I thought maybe going over the white with green paint. I mixed together a light green, dark green and a touch of white acrylic paint and it made this Frankenstein green! PERFECT!

I also wanted to use up some of my Ephemera pieces, so I grabbed the Dear Lizzy Saturday Ephemera pieces and put aside all of the black,green, and dark blue pieces. I started layering all of my pieces together going vertically and I really love how it all came together. I hope you all are having a wonderful Halloween!!
